When does my eSIM data package expire?
Your eSIM data package validity does not start on the purchase date, but when your eSIM first connects to a supported network at your destination.
When does validity start?
As soon as you are at your destination and your phone connects to a local network (roaming), your package validity period begins. Until then your eSIM remains "unused" and does not expire.
Validity period and data
Each package has a fixed validity period (e.g. 7, 14 or 30 days) and a set amount of data. If you run out of data before the end of the validity, you can often top up via the app or website. When the validity period ends, your eSIM expires; unused data is then lost.
Checking expiry
In the VakanSIM app and in your account on the website you can see when your package expires and how much data you have left. That way you always stay informed.
